The Hamsa Hand (Arabic: خمسة) is an ancient symbol shaped like an open palm, used across the Middle East and North Africa for centuries as a powerful talisman of protection. It’s believed to ward off the evil eye, bring blessings, and invite good fortune, health, and harmony.

The word “Hamsa” comes from the Arabic word for five (خمسة), referring to the five fingers of the hand. It is also called the Hand of Fatima, in honor of Fatima al-Zahra, daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), symbolizing patience, loyalty, and strength.
